Happy New Moon in Scorpio!

 

Rebirth. Devotion. Transformation.

Letting Go, releasing, and shedding.

Determination. Healing. Protection. Wisdom. Self-Defense. Pattern Recognition. Evolution. Planting the seeds of your dominion. Autonomy. Sovereignty. Keys. Freedom.

This is a time of sacred darkness and divination, as we welcome winter and celebrate the embers of Autumn. You are not alone, and your anger is valid. But don't let it consume you in the flames of passion--triggers, trauma, and warfare will be ignited. That is only half of the story. The whole truth is so much deeper, more beautyful, and more fascinating. Just like a myth, come to life. That's you, in the mirror of the Moon. Illuminated by the Sun.

 

You are so much more than your anger. Let it bring you more deeply into your Self. Your focus. Your truth. Your sovereignty. Your power. Your grace. "Before you lose your balance and fall, you will find that it's an instinct." For there is no authority, on earth or in heaven, who can wield your sword for you. 

 

Your guides have not abandoned you... They are whispering, "Go deeper, within." Find your source, your essence, your solace. Retreat into the womb of creation, and emerge more powerful than you could have possibly imagined. For that is where "imagination" begins. The sparks of life. You have these tools, to illuminate this darkness. Tread carefully, with wisdom and caution, but know that you are getting closer to that which you are seeking. And, perhaps? That which is seeking you. For better and for worse. Do not despair. Prepare. For, all that has died can be reborn, but the question is...what, truly, do *you* seek? Choose your battles carefully. And also? Your passions.

 

Tonight's New Moon will be happening around midnite, on the East Coast... Mars only just stationed direct yesterday in the middle of confrontational Aries, and Jupiter, Pluto, and Pallas are still closely conjunct (within only about half a degree of orb between them all).

Some of the people who haunt your circles may be cruising for a bruising. Let them. Let them cruise on by, unless you truly feel, in your heart of hearts, that it is your place to intervene. Let them face their own karma. Protect your sacred energy. Watch out for micro-aggressions designed to provoke you. The point isn't so much to evade or avoid them, but to work through them in a way that elevates you beyond their reach. It's not about Them. It's about you. Sacred you. Forever evolving and transforming.

 

Saturn, master of discipline, also in Capricorn (its domicile, or home) is only 4 degrees away from Jupiter and Pluto... and will have its own meeting with Jupiter at 0 degrees of Aquarius next month on December 21st, as the Sun and Mercury themselves ingress into Capricorn, about one week after the Sagittarius New Moon not far from the Galactic Center. But let's not get (too far) ahead of ourselves.

 

Below is the chart of this New Moon in the beautyfully, almost unfathomably, profound sign of Scorpio. Known by some as the gates to the Underworld (I hope it is not lost on us that Jupiter and Pluto are conjunct in a close sextile, with little to no orb, about 60 degrees away in Capricorn, domicile of Saturn). Remember that you will be tested. Scorpio is a sign of secrets, ancient wisdom, and gatekeeping. "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" Some gates are meant to be kept, and some are meant to be entered by the few who dare to approach, and even fewer who are worthy. Trespass will not be tolerated lightly. 

 

The question is, which is which? Witch's which. Witches switch. A wand? A key, given to me, long ago...by a dearly departed friend. You may find souls of the dead speaking to you at this time. Embrace it, if they resonate. Ask them who they are, and what their purpose is, if this is unclear. Listen carefully to their response. 

 

Words reveal all things, aloud, if we allow them to. Intuition will guide you to your truth. Refine it in the fires of your conscience. It is wounded, but you are healing.

 

I have included some asteroids of personal significance to myself and the beginnings of this Page, in the chart below. The Asteroid of Inanna is at the anaretic degree of Scorpio...a degree symbolic of the phoenix and its rebirth. By tomorrow both she & the moon will have moved into Sagittarius. The sign of rebirth (and ruled by Jupiter... Yes, *that* Jupiter, who is conjunct Pluto, ruler of Scorpio). Meanwhile, Psyche is conjunct the North Node in Gemini, Sagittarius' Opposite. And as I mentioned previously, Pallas, goddess of Wisdom, Pattern Recognition, and even psychic gifts of the 3rd eye, is also conjunct Jupiter and Pluto (with Akashi, an asteroid who hints at the Akashic Records, not far away within 2-3 degrees of orb). Notice also that Black Moon Lilith is conjunct Uranus, in retrograde motion. They will cross over each other on Monday. 

 

True to Scorpio, this time is intensely mythological. And magickal. Be prepared for gods and goddesses to enter your life, as tricksters, soulmates, demons, and angels alike. Perhaps all four at once, if you're very lucky. And if there's one thing Scorpio teaches us, it's this:
